Equipped to Care
In this 2-hr class, we will learn how to navigate challenges that arise in the classroom and at home due to childhood trauma. We will talk about how childhood trauma impacts brain development as well as how to respond to challenging situations and create a safe environment. Includes practical discussion and role-play scenarios that can be adjusted for the classroom or the home.
This training is great for babysitters, grandparents, friends of foster families, teachers, and Children’s ministry workers.
Dinner is included! Join us!

Family Hope 101

But that’s not the only way to make a lasting difference. Whether you’re exploring foster care or adoption yourself, wondering how you can support foster and adoptive families, or simply wanting to better understand the child welfare system, this class is for you!

An event for parents and prospective parents. Join Family Hope Coalition and local foster care agencies to learn more about adopting. Hear from each agency and have your questions answered.

Foster The Family Support Group New Castle County
Whatever season of foster motherhood you’re in, you don’t have to do it alone! Join us every month for a special evening created just for foster moms in New Castle County, Delaware.
Enjoy dinner together, watch a video lesson, and spend time in meaningful discussion. Most importantly, come build friendships, find encouragement, and connect with a community of moms who get it.

We are excited to announce our first ever Ice Cream Social in Sussex County at Hopkins Farm Creamery on October 2 from 6pm – 8pm for adoptive, foster, and kinship families in Sussex County.
Hopkins Farm Creamery is kindly hosting us and giving us access to their wonderful outdoor space and playground.
We’ll have ice cream, access to a play ground, animals, and tractor rides.
Just $2 per person ages 2 and up!
